I'm Ayla, the owner of Bell Bridal Co. I have been in the events and hospitality industry for more than a decade. I have done every job from serving, bartending, to being a barista, bar manager, and restaurant manager. I have known for years that helping to curate someone’s experience, even if for an hour, or a day, brought me an immeasurable amount of joy. In 2019 I decided to try and focus my love into events alone. I was lucky enough to be promoted to an Event Manager position for a popular company in Brooklyn, NY and that was the move of all moves.
I have done all sorts of event planning, but weddings are where my passion took root! I love to plan out and execute all the little details to make someone's day as memorable as possible. But, my favorite part about this business is the people. I will try to get to know your likes, dislikes, passions, and sense of humor in order to exact your vision in a personal way. I genuinely love my job because I get to connect with so many people from different walks of life, and try and help make their dreams come true.
In starting this business there are a handful of things I promised myself. I have promised to treat every client and colleague I encounter with love, empathy, and transparency. I promised to build this company into something that reaches way beyond myself. Most importantly, I promised to run my business while being authentically myself. I am a queer, black, woman, and mother and I am SO proud of that. I hope that I am but one pillar of light, acceptance, and representation within the event industry and I hope that no one ever has to stumble upon my business and question whether choosing us will be a ‘safe’ or ‘welcoming’ choice for their special day. There isn’t enough love in the world, so we should absolutely celebrate yours!
